The Ibis is said to be the last animal to take shelter and the first back out after a hurricane. A symbol of resilience and courage in the face of relentless forces.
Historically the ibis is a sacred animal. In Ancient Egyptian culture the head of Thoth, the god of wisdom and writing, is that of an ibis. And the bird itself was regarded as sacred.
